Civilians policing and peacekeeping as an instrument of South African Foreign Policy towards Sudan

Abstract

Many parts of Africa have been affected by conflicts Darfur is one state that is affected by political, social and economical instability. These can only be promoted under healthy economic status . The governments of Sudan is using force and violence and in turn the neighbouring states are affected by displacement of people basedon racial discrimination .The government of Sudan has lost control ;division has been caused within the government itself and the rebel movement. A joint Alliance of the United Nations and African Union in which the South Africa Civilian Police plays a role in conflict resolution in peacekeeping and peace enforcing force together with the international communities have worked together to promote peace and stability in Darfur It is clear that the role of the South African Civilian Police Women in the peacekeeping mission has helped a lot in order for them to accumulate enough information. Women in Darfur were at ease and free to part with the required information. Negotiations are still under way for both parties to meet at the negotiations table to resolve their differences South African Civilian Police Women have proven to the world that they can participate well in positions and engage with other peacekeepers. The Process of African Union women were well trained to handle the gender crimes. The Process of African Union in peacekeeping mission is still on. The Diplomatic approach has brought Liberation to the South African Sudanese and introduced a power-sharing regime.
