Editorial

The same applies to those authors who made the present edition possible. Again we have succeeded in getting prominent historians and methodologists involved in Yesterday and Today. We have tried to include a wide variety of topics to keep up with the interests of our readers. We also want to keep up an ongoing debate as far as the main topics in today's history teaching are concerned. We, therefore, once again invite everyone who would like to contribute in this regard to do so.

Two members of the Editorial Staff have made a successful study tour of various important historical and educational institutions in Germany. A report will be published in the next issue of Yesterday and Today.

Thank you for a most rewarding year. On a more personal note, I would like to thank my Editorial Staff for their keen cooperation during this year, and give a special word of appreciation to my two Goudstad colleagues, Dr N. Wandrag and Mr Neels de Klerk for their support to me over the last eight years. My best wishes accompany them on their respective future careers.
