Editorial

It is with regret that I have to inform you that this is the last issue of Contree which is published under the auspices of the History Department. One of the main reasons why we had to decide to discontinue publication was financial realities. We will keep you informed about the possible continuation of Contree. As soon as finality had been reached, we will pay back subscription fees which had been paid in advance.

Dit spyt ons om aan te kondig dat hierdie die laaste uitgawe van Contree is wat deur die Departement Geskiedenis gepubliseer word. Finansiële realiteite was onder andere die belangrikste oorweging wat dit nie meer moontlik gemaak het vir ons departement om met die publikasie voort te gaan nie. Ons sal u op hoogte hou van die moontlike voortsetting van Contree. U sal vergoed word vir enige vooruitbetaalde intekengeld sodra finaliteit bereik is.
