| dc.description.abstract | South Africa's complex history with colonialism has left its imprint on the Higher Education Institutions. Decolonisation can address historical injustices and create a more inclusive educational environment. Despite the awareness of its significance, many Higher Education Institutions grapple with decolonisation. This is due to varied approaches and resistance. The study reported in this chapter explored how Health Professions educators at a South African university perceive decolonisation. It uses the insights from its findings to develop guidelines to inform the decolonising of health professions education curricula. The chapter is set to exemplify possibilities other fields of study could consider in pursuing a decolonisation project of their curricula. | |
