Rock art data is currently made available digitally by means of diverse databases, equipped with limited research capabilities. The global distribution of rock art complicates its research and forces researchers to rely on its online availability. Should some of the elements in such an artwork appear to be unclear, online applications that could lead to the possible enhancement of it must be sought on an individual basis. This study seeks to meet this need by creating and making available an online data model containing rock art that provides the consumer with built-in distance analysis software tools related to the data. Petroglyphs of Bosworth rock art site have been documented and presented for this purpose in context of their immediate surroundings, namely the rocks and site concerned. To make this data available online, a web application has been created with built-in analytics capabilities in terms of magnification, manipulation of the viewing angle, allocation of new colour spaces, as well as the casting of a digital light beam over the artworks. A combination of these built-in analysis functionalities is then available for application to both 2D and 3D depictions of each artwork in colour as well as monochrome.en_US
