dc.description.abstractThe article discusses the Norwegian-South African whalers' participation in World War II against Germany and Axis Powers, including military recruitment of whalers in Durban, South Africa. An overview of the impact that the 1940 German invasion and occupation of Norway had on Norwegian-South African involvement in World War II, including in regard to the exiled Norwegian government in London, England, is provided.en_US
