| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study was to examine the constraints to universal health care access in Uganda's context. An in-depth literature review was undertaken, with 76 articles being reviewed. The literature mirrored a global, African, and Ugandan contextualised context. Universal health coverage is key to achieving the UN Global Agenda of a sustainable world. However, challenges facing UHC have been researched in part. In this paper, an extended number of challenges have been identified using a supply chain lens. This article contributes to healthcare theory and practice by providing detailed challenges facing UHC while providing recommendations for escalating UHC for the achievement of the UN goal of achieving UHC by 2030. The recommendations benefit both strands of policymaking and practice. | |
