Abstract

This thesis deals with preliminary research towards using zone treatment as a method of purifying sewage water. As ozone is a very strong oxidizing agent it could be expected that ozone would oxidize the organic material present in sewage water. Because chlorine is in such general use the effect of ozone w as compared with that of chlorine on organic matter.
