| dc.description.abstract | Discipleship has been an integral part of the church's strategy in both the spiritual formation of its' members and also fulfilling its mission. This can be seen in the practice and teaching of Jesus and also His followers throughout church history. However, as society has moved into the post- Christendom era, the evangelical church has grappled with how to be effective in discipleship. Within the UK context, this study seeks to analyse the discipleship of evangelical churches, in the post-Christendom era, from a transformissional and holistic perspective to gain a better understanding to aid this integral part of the church's strategy. Furthermore, it will conclude with a recommended transformissional and holistic discipleship paradigm containing an evaluation tool to help inform and measure discipleship practice. | en_US |
