dc.description.abstractJob satisfaction particularly among health workers is a global topic of interest for human resource managers, researchers, industrial and organizational psychologists. The primary objective of this study was to investigate the level of job satisfaction among health workers in a private hospital in Mahikeng, North West province. The secondary objectives were to determine the factors influencing job satisfaction among health workers; to establish the association between demographic characteristics and level of job satisfaction; and to identify common ways of improving level of job satisfaction among health workers. The research questions were, what are the factors influencing job satisfaction among health workers? what is the association between demographic characteristics and level of job satisfaction? and what are the common ways of improving levels of job satisfaction among health workers? A quantitative research design was used to investigate job satisfaction among health workers in a private hospital. Purposive and convenient sampling techniques were used to select health workers for their voluntary participation in the study. Self-completion questionnaire was used to collect data. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 25 was used to analyse data. The study revealed that health workers are satisfied with their job at a private hospital in Mahikeng, North West province. It also shows that there is a significant relationship between demographic characteristics and the level of job satisfaction among health workers. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made for hospital management and research.en_US
