dc.description.abstract | Increasing complexity of companies' activities and benefits for the entities that have decided to implement the SSC concept caused that the popularity of this strategy in the recent years to increase considerably. At present the shared services centres constitute the basic form of organisation in many transnational corporations. Their dynamic growth can be observed especially in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The article overviews the activity of such shared service centres in Poland and Slovakia and analyses the factors influencing the development of these units. The paper determines which of the surveyed countries is more conducive to the SSC functioning. | |
