The study determines the impact of lack of skills by Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality on service delivery. It should be borne in mind that municipalities are service delivery vehicles of the government and so need to have in their employ officials who are relevantly qualified and effective in order to add value to the municipality. Municipalities, like all other organizations, have to employ well skilled personnel to make it functional or at least be capable to develop their own workforce so as to carry out their functions to the expectations of the people. They need to have in their different sectors well trained and knowledgeable officials who will diligently perform municipal duties.en_US
