Abstract
Since the publication of the Psalms Scroll from Qumran2 (11 QPsa) and the critical edition of the five Syriac Apocryphal Psalms by Baars3 research on these apocryphal Psalms and the Hebrew counterparts of three of them has received a new impetus.4 This chapter deals with Psalm 155 (=Syriac Apocryphal Psalm III), and concentrates on the relationship between the different Syriac manuscripts and their relation to the Hebrew text from Qumran. The contents of the Psalm will receive attention only as far as it throws light on the relationship between the Syriac and Hebrew texts.
