Abstract
Increasing statistics of suicide, the alarming rise of suicide attempts and the lack of effective preventative and Therapeutic strategies formed the basis for the study. It was firstly established that Bibliotherapy is mainly applied from a humanistic perspective. This made it necessary to investigate the possibility of its application
from a Christ-centered perspective. Suicide formed the main theme of the study. One of the objectives of the study was to define a human being in totality according to the Word of God. It was established that a human being functions in three dimensions: body, soul and spirit. Furthermore, it was argued that Therapy must be applied to all three dimensions. This Therapy should be applied by the Therapist and the therapist. Thereafter, Satan's strategy to destroy human life was presented and described. It was pointed out that suicide as an ultimate act of destruction is preceded by seven identified pre-phases. Finally, it was found that the book Post Mortem by Junita Joubert is suitable for Bibliotherapeutic use.
