| dc.description.abstract | The uses and research of polycyclic carbon cage compounds which exhibit biological and pharmacological activity have been increasing. From the study the large influence of transannular reactions during derivatization of polycyclic hydrocarbon cage compounds were shown. A further contribution to the knowledge on the synthesis of biological active compounds was made through the synthesis of the first optical active polycyclic hydrocarbon peptide. The peptide however is poorly soluble which will be a challenge for future studies. | |
