Abstract
A new species of the genus Neophyllobius Berlese, 1886, namely, Neophyllobius mitrae n. sp. is described. The new species was collected from soil under date trees (Phoenix datylofera L.) (Arecaceae) in Ahwaz, Kuzestan Province, south of Iran. A key to all known species of Iran is given.
