A comparative study of non-parametric distribution function estimators

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate a procedure for estimating the bandwidth in kernel distribution function estimation based on the bootstrap. To investigate to performance of the estimator) simulation studies were performed comparing the above mentioned estimator to estimators suggested by Altman and Leger (1995) and Van Graan (1983). The findings and conclusion of this study are reported.
