This research project primarily concerns itself with a theory perfected by Steve Mason, concerning the more probable sources and inspirations for both the content and literary style of Luke-Acts, specifically: This theory, I have termed the “Mason thesis” and which advocates that apart from its obvious dependence on Q. and Ev.Matt. Luke-Acts, was largely indebted to Josephus for much of his historical information as well as his favoured rhetorical strategy.en_US
