The success rate of software projects in South African businesses
Abstract
This study will analyse and investigate software projects and their success rate in
South African businesses, which include the private and public sectors. A survey will
be developed and distributed among different people within companies, who occupy
roles ranging from project managers and stakeholders to users and developers. This,
together with a literature review, will produce a clear picture of the success and failure
rates of projects and the likely causes of the failures and successes in South African
businesses.
