Abstract
Hexabdella persiaensis Paktinat Saeej and Bagheri sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Amol city, Mazandaran province, Iran. This is the first species of this genus described from Asia. An updated key to all species of the genus Hexabdella is also presented.
