The role of the arts in worship has been neglected in the reformed tradition in South Africa. It is an interesting phenomenon that researchers and theologians alike are once again becoming aware of the important relationship that exists between aesthetics and theology, as it has always been, according to church history. This article investigates different opinions on aesthetics in the reformed worship service and argues that it is a valuable tool that must be used in the process of responsible renewal of the worship service.en_US
