Creation and the revelation of God's children: liberation of enslaved bodies
Abstract
In the first part of the article the role of Romans 8:18–30, within Romans 5:1–8:39, is briefly
discussed. In the second part a summary of the argument of Romans 7:7–17, as presupposition
for the understanding of Romans 8:18–30, is given. In the third part a close reading of Romans
8:18–30 is given, followed by concluding remarks. The article illustrates that Paul’s line of
thought moves from the future transformation of the believers to the transformation of the
creation.
