Worse still, Africa’s resources are extracted to develop other parts of the world. For this reason, this paper argues that a new leadership paradigm is necessary in order to maximize Africa’s own potential for poverty reduction. The book of Proverbs offers a useful reflection on what could constitute such a leadership.
