Research regarding their coping strategies and the relation thereof with personality traits are therefor relevant. A correlation design was used as a re.search design. The experimental group was selected by means of an availability sample and consisted of forensic medical assistants (n = 29) within the SAPS. The NEO-PI-R, the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire, the COPE and the Coping Strategy Indicator (CSI) were used as measuring instruments.
