Intelligent Design - a descendant of vitalism? (Modern biology wrestling with God's Law-Order)
Abstract
Can a historical perspective on the ID (Intelligent Design) movement
avoid noticing its links with the long-standing legacy of vitalism within
philosophy and biology? This question will be investigated below by taking
into account diverse biological trends within 20$^t$$^h$ century biology and
by relating it to a number of systematic distinctions.
