Vir die Musiekleier (ISSN 1999-3412) is SAKOV se tydskrif wat sedert Januarie 2011 by die Suid-Afrikaanse Departement van Onderwys geakkrediteer is.
Die tydskrif verskyn elke jaar in Desember. Dit is 'n glanspublikasie wat bestaan uit vakkundige artikels oor die erediens en kerk- en orrelmusiek, boek- en CD-resensies, verslae van streeksbyeenkomste, asook die Voorsittersverslag en Notule van die Algemene Jaarvergadering.
Enige persoon mag 'n bydrae lewer, mits dit aan die tydskrif se riglyne voldoen.
Die redakteur is prof. Hetta Potgieter en dr. Gerrit Jordaan is die mederedakteur.
